12 minute decision - April 2015

Some travels are a long time in the making, some only take 12 minutes. Having spent a nice day in Bath, strolling along the river Avon, visiting the usual historic highlights as the Royal Crescent, the Circus, and Bath’s best curry house Rajpoot, we decided to jump in the car and travel further down to Bournemouth and book a hotel for that night (all done in 12 minutes). (more)

We’ve spent quite a few weekends there over the last 5 years, and this visit had the potential to become ‘just another visit’. The pier is a great spot to have a little after dinner walk, and it somehow feels different every single time. After the grey skies in Bath, the light in Bournemouth was magical! The clouds felt like they were painted on canvas, and the dusky light still had a golden glow to it, to light up the sandy beach and the spring plants on the dunes. Don’t underestimate Bournemouth!
